Founded in 2025, The Sunshine Coast Canine Collective (SCCC) is a community-driven initiative created to connect dog owners on the Sunshine Coast with trusted, local resources. We're passionate about supporting the well-being of dogs through access to humane, science-based, and effective services—from trainers and walkers to groomers, sitters, and beyond.
SCCC is not a business or nonprofit organization, but rather a collaborative hub that brings together dog lovers, service providers, and advocates who believe in ethical, positive care. Whether you're new to the area, a first-time dog parent, or simply looking for vetted local services, we're here to help you find what you need and feel supported every step of the way!
Our Story
SCCC began with a simple need—finding the right support for my dog after we moved to the Sunshine Coast. As a dog parent to a reactive pup, I quickly realized how difficult it was to navigate local services, especially ones that aligned with science-based, compassionate care. I spent hours searching for trainers, walkers, and boarding options that felt like the right fit—only to come up short or rely on word of mouth.
I created the Sunshine Coast Canine Collective because I wished something like this had existed when we first arrived: a central, trusted resource that brings together the incredible (but sometimes hard-to-find) services available in our community. This collective is for anyone who's ever felt overwhelmed trying to find the right support for their dog—and especially for those of us with dogs who need a little extra understanding.

We are committed to fostering positive, effective relationships between people and their dogs by promoting ethical approaches to handling and training. Rooted in our love for dogs and the vibrant Sunshine Coast, we aim to empower dog owners with the tools, knowledge, and connections needed to nurture happy, healthy companions.
